Can you take it apart at the waist? Cut it off at the waist, sew it back on. No need to bother with the hem.

I used one of those for years. I wore it out. I took a June Tailor mat with the ironing surface on one side and put on top of the tool box and had a table beside my chair.

I hate it that patterns to download are the same price as the ones purchased at a quilt store. If I have to download and then print, it shouldn't cost the same.
