I have had an Elna SU since early 70's and love it. They are great machines, all metal. You got a great deal in my opinion!

thanks Miriam! I found a thread guide, it sews now, but is kind of loud. Wondering if the bobbin case is loose or something, I read on this website before that can sometimes cause a rattle.

I have two FW's -- the first one has the lift out tray that goes all the way across the top (1938 model) and one that has a little built in tray on the left & the clip for the oil can (1953 model).
