I finally have step 3 done now to figure out the sashing..stars or no stars I haven't decided yet..I'm thinking of either a mid lime green or aqua..I have to dig for those colors for the yardage...

square the block from step 3 leaving a 1/4" seam allowance from the points then find the center of the long side of the large triangle and pin the center to the center of the side you'll be sewing it...

I always cut my triangles larger so that I won't lose the points...

I would make sure the flannel has been prepped as not to shrink. or better yet pre-shrink both the flannel & reg. cotton before cutting..
