I think that's the lawsuit I posted about earlier, in the thread that got closed. The quilter who is being sued is Emily Cier. If you Google her name, you will likely find her blog with information from her end of the lawsuit. I think "Scrap Republic" is the book in question. Here is a link to it on Amazon:

If this is the book, it's especially ironic that it is a book of patterns for using up scraps of fabric.

Apparently there is a lawsuit in progress where fabric was used (not logo fabric) to design a quilt pattern. Not very much is being published about it yet, but it has caused quite a stir.
