Wonderful quilt. I am of the opinion the sampler quilt is the absolute best quilt to learn on because you will learn so many techniques in making one that no other pattern will ever scare you. You have a ton of techniques in that beauty. I see curved seams, applique, set in seams, template cut units with odd angles. There is nothing you can't try with that quilt under your belt. I learned on a Sampler too.
