    My turn to share!

Hi! I have been stalking this messge board for a LONG time and thought it was about time that I share a few of my pics! About 20 years ago, I took a quilting class. We made sampler blocks, but even tho, I loved the whole process, I never finished the quilt. (Life just got too busy). About 2 years ago, I decided to finish that quilt and have been piecing (and stalking this board) ever since. I have learned SOOOOO much from all of you and many of my quilts have been inspired by you! THANK YOU!

This is the sampler quilt I made. I havent learned how to free hand quilt yet. I am terrified I will ruin a top if I try! So until I get my nerve up to try, I send my tops to Rhonda Dranter in Illinois. Even after I learn SOMEDAY, I will still send my favorite quilts to her...everything she does is perfect and beautiful! Name: IMG_2454.jpg

That lovely quilt must surely inspire you to make more. It is beautiful. I am not getting along with free motion quilting very well at all and can understand your nervousness. However I like traditional straight line quilting and like the results very much. Good luck with the FMQ.

You give us all hope for our UFOs. I don't think I have any quilt UFOs quite that old since I've only been making quilts for about 12 years now. It's never too late to finish a project, especially if you don't tell when you started it! Great work.

"Piecin' a quilt's like livin' a life...The Lord sends us the pieces, but we can cut 'em out and put 'em together pretty much to suit ourselves, and there's a heap more in the cuttin' and the sewin' than there is in the caliker...I've had a heap of comfort all my life making quilts, and now in my old age I wouldn't take a fortune for them."
