Wonderful quilt. I am of the opinion the sampler quilt is the absolute best quilt to learn on because you will learn so many techniques in making one that no other pattern will ever scare you. You have a ton of techniques in that beauty. I see curved seams, applique, set in seams, template cut units with odd angles. There is nothing you can't try with that quilt under your belt. I learned on a Sampler too.

We made sampler blocks, but even tho, I loved the whole process, I never finished the quilt. (Life just got too busy). About 2 years ago, I decided to finish that quilt and have been piecing (and stalking this board) ever since. I have learned SOOOOO much from all of you and many of my quilts have been inspired by you! THANK YOU!

This is the sampler quilt I made. I havent learned how to free hand quilt yet. I am terrified I will ruin a top if I try! So until I get my nerve up to try, I send my tops to Rhonda Dranter in Illinois. Even after I learn SOMEDAY, I will still send my favorite quilts to her...everything she does is perfect and beautiful! Attachment 407176Attachment 407182
