There was no book or anything, so I'm not sure what model it is. A 99 that takes a 66 bobbin? The bobbin loads from the top & I prefer that. Mine has a really nice finish, but runs kinda rough even after cleaning and oiling. The cabinet is so cheap it wobbles, not even a tilt drawer on it. Model ES196239 and says made in Great Britain on it.
The Spartan was sold as stripped down version of a 99, I think the model was a 192(?) It came without a light or fancy decals. Yes the 99 takes a 66 bobbin, several machines besides a 66 use that bobbin.
