Hi , Melinda, congrats on the machine. I have one also . Be sure to oil the bottom of the machine it has oil pots inside the bottom,they need to be filled so the wicking can oil the parts. you will find them when you take the machine apart for cleaning,.. Happy Sewing ,,Dottie Bug
