I have one spool of red Mettler that I got several years ago as a gift from the shop where I purchased my older Pfaff. Can't say that I have used it though. Don't use red too often.
I bought a case of 24 Aurifil large spools of bright red thread on clearance. I use it for piecing everything but solid white. It's thin and blends perfectly with scrappy, dark, or bright fabrics.
