I suggest doing some practice fusing and sewing with the " throwaway", parts of the shirts - maybe the sleeves.

Fiber content varies - all cotton or cotton and polyester.
also the stretchiness can vary a lot. Most t- shirts have the stretch going around the body.
also the logos seem to vary on how they react to laundering and heat. Had some peel almost completely off during the first wash.
