My partner of the July Doll Swap said she was learning to paper piece. I told her I would post my latest Paper Pieced Wall Hanging.

This was made from Spellbinding Quilts by Maaike Bakker. I bought the book on a whim and have never regretted it! It is called Taming of the Dragon. I hope to make the Magnificent Magical Sampler from this book someday (69" sq). It has griffins, a castle, owls, a giant, witches, a wizard...just an awesome quilt.

    Thanks for looking!

You are doing a great job. I don't like to do paper piecing, but you seem to be mastering it.

That is so cool. I'm making a dragon quilt myself at the moment. Yours looks spectacular. Paper piecing intimidates me, well done you!

Wow, I love the precision of paper piecing. The dragons are great. Where did you find this book?

It was on a rack in front of the sewing pattern section in JoAnnes. It was not with the others in the quilt book section...maybe too scary! LOL
