I think that's a good idea and I plan to be more careful where I post and in the subject box be clearer about what I'm posting. We don't want any members to feel the message board is too much for them, or others to feel their off the topic stuff can't be posted here - there's plenty of room for everyone's needs.
I also think this is a good idea. For example: Need help with half square triangles instead of Help!!!!!!!! :P

I just wish we had spell-check for posters who don't proofread before sending

Personally I'm not a lot interested in a lot of subjects here either, but I do like the digest form, so I simply skip over those I don't care about.
Every once in a while I will go and check out a topic, but ie old sewing machines are not my thing, I know a lot of them like and love them, each to their own, so i simply skip it.
I do agree a few more sub catagories would be nice, vintage sewing machines, purses, clothing, family etc.
But if not I'll simply move on to the next topic that interests me.

Because we are all so busy, it's very useful when the subject line really explains the content, so we can decide which threads we are most interested in.

    Topic heading: My New Baby!

Is it: a baby? a new sewing machine? a vintage machine? a pet? a car? etc...
