miriam, you found a Redeye? All I want is a Redeye and a backup 301. Not having any luck finding either one. I do like the Tiffany decals, too, but they aren't as common as the Redeyes.

You can have the redeye decapitated $10 plus shipping... the decals aren't perfect. I think it will sew though - I'll put it through it's paces later.

My thoughts exactly. Anybody showing up for a 'white glove' test better just get right on down the road. I think one of my fav sayings is "Boring women have immaculate houses". lol Besides dust is a protective covering for furniture.

I am trying to find information on a SM listed locally. I called him and he gave me a Singer # G3817306
I looked that up and it said it is a model 18 manuf. 1914.
The guy on Craigs list is asking $100 because? he thinks its worth a lot more than that.

I don't want to buy it, just want him to make an informed decision. NOw if it is worth $20 I would buy it for someone in my Sunday School class who wants to sew but can't afford a machine. She said last night she was going to put one on lay away at the Big Box store. I told her not to do that yet as they are all plastic and maybe we can find something older that is metal.
    Thanks for any help

It's kind of hard to tell you what it's "worth" as it's really dependent on the condition of the machine and table. To say, I'd pay such and such is really not possible. $100 may be a very fair price for the machine. And just because someone has picked one up for $20, 5 states away from you doesn't mean he should sell it to you for that price.
