Red face My quilt was saved!!!

Before Christmas, I posted about a batik quilt that a highly recommended LA quilter completely messed up. The stitching was very uneven and there were huge holes from the needle. I was just sick about it because it was to have been a Christmas gift and there was no way that I could give it to anyone in the condition that it was returned to me. I don't think that I was ever so disappointed as I was when I pulled it out of the box. I did get a partial refund from the original LA but I wish now that I had pushed for a full refund.

The pictures of the truly bad stitching are here - http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...d-t168970.html

Aubrey, of Aubrey's Quilting Creations took the quilt, tore it apart and washed the top and back, and re-quilted it. I'm so pleased! The quilting is gorgeous and she saved the Christmas gift for my good friend. If I look closely, I can see the holes left by the first LA quilter, but Aubrey saved it!

So glad it could be fixed. The first picture was unbelievable. Sorry you had deal with something like this. Your quilt looks great now.

One thing about uneven stitches, they are easy to take out! But a batik quilt is hard to get the needle holes out of, my hats off to Aubrey's Quilting creations!

Aubrey sure worked miracles on that quilt. I would not send a quilt out, I don't trust anyone after it would leave my hands. I don't do great work but, it is my work. I'm glad all turned out well for you anf the quilt.
Aubrey really did a wonderful job with it.

Great news! This quilt is a beauty and so glad it could be saved. I am so suprised that a longarmer would give you your quilt back with those huge holes and horrible quilting. Goes to show you not all quilters know what they are doing.
