I have been given A LOT of scraps lately, including a bag of denim. So I started looking at different denim quilt ideas. Here is one I really like that works fabulously with scraps......http://www.equilters.com/library/jea...gallbaros.html

Been following this thread since it began. Love the quilts and mommas teddy.
im planning on making a pink and white quilt. It will look scrappy, but ive purchased a bunch of pinks to makethis.
Problem, what design to do. I have about twenty pinks and one plain white fabric. It seems when i use a white on white, the paint on the white gets blackish when the needle passes thru it, so ill stick with the solid white.
So, what design should i do, been thinking of a 9 patch on point or jewelbox or your suggestion.

I think there are already a lifetime of ideas posted. The trick is to get a group going on making a project showing our work to each other .. it encourages me at least into finishing a project. the old getter done concept. I am doing the block a month project with scrap Christmas fabric. One block today I had enough fabric to cut the blocks needed with 1" to spare. A great way to get rid of the little pieces and ugh I know Christmas? but it will come in handy next Dec when I need gifts I am going to make either wall hangings, table mats or runners with the blocks. tada! no left over Christms pieces if I am lucky.
BETH YOU HAVE THREE 55 GALLON SCRAP BINS! swoon. I would get like hives I think lol. This is the perfect place for you. Use em up save a few dollars and make treasures. good plan. This year I would like to use up a bunch of my sisters little flower fabrics mostly calico like.. not my thing at all but well its fabric and its free.. hey anyone want to trade little flower fabric for non little flower fabric? I have pinks, blues .. I know they will work great in your scrappy project! lol

Rhonda a scrappy quilt along .. beth your idea is great simple block like the bow tie but perfect use of scraps light vs dark instead of just white or black or another solid. use more scraps that way. Rhonda can we pretty please start one?

I am so sorry about your dad. We lost my mom in March of this year. I miss her terribly.

    Okay A Scrappy Quilt Along

Here is the quilt block I chose. I did this on my EQ5. there are no hard and fast rules. You can use this quilt block or one of your own choosing. We'll love what ever you decide to make.

Of course I can't resist an opportunity to use my Boston Blocks.

My version of this Quilt Block uses my Boston Blocks
