Almost three years ago, I started back to quilting. I have made a lot of quilts, totes and other items. But I joined the fabric moratorium at the end of last year because I have acquired way too much and just now need to sew a lot. Good luck in your quest!

Best thing you can do is to find three scrap patterns that you love.
One for 5" squares, one for 2.5" inch strips and one for strings or crumbs.
Cut leftovers/scraps immediately and put in that bin. When the bin gets full, throw together that quilt.
I am a minimalist and am very happy when I have worked down my scrap pile to nearly nothing

My mini stash consists of remnants from the bins in JoAnns, Hancocks, or Hobby Lobby. Not much at all.

    Don't fight it.
Find a way for this fabric and everything else in your life to make you happy. Then, go for it.

I've become a material girl over the years, with more time to grab and stash a bargain than time to sew. Just ask my husband--the material witness.

I have gotten rid of a lot of my stash by giving it away. Now I feel so much better,
