    i'm diabetic, I vote for the less of something good, than more of something yucky.
    so go for the good tasting Godiva chocolate. if your friend likes dark chocolate, that's even better for her.

    Yep the Real thing tastes better, I used to work in a Nursing Home. The dietitian would give Diabetics the same foods just in Smaller Portions... the Buying of Diabetic Special foods the Cost was too much... and adjust what was served on their plates... Smaller portion of Potato, no Roll, subbed with Vanilla Wafers, Ginger Snaps... crunch and Flavor went a long way toward Satisfaction + adding a Whipped Topping dressed up the desserts ( very low cal/low Sugar). of course that didn't prevent the Resident's family from bringing in Whole Pies, loaves of Banana Breads and Sub Sandwiches... and they wondered why MOM wasn't loosing Weight and her blood sugars were high ?

    Make sure she likes splenda, I found that it makes some things taste bitter.

    sugar free cake mix with a can of crushed [in own juice] pineapple...[nothing else ] ...top with cool whip mixed with a block of cream cheese ....very little sugar and tastes good
