I have a bag of flannel plaid shirts to make a memory quilt. This gives me a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Hang in there twinkie, yes it does come with practise and I now never do any other form of quilting, other than one or two machine tied ones. You will find that every one you do comes a little easier and the rhythm and speed control becomes automatic, believe me it will.

I don't have a long arm, and do FMQ on all my machines although my favourite is my Elna 720 which makes it a doddle.

I just wish I could do a Apple core quilt

Marta I echo the sentiments of the others.....it's beautiful. I love quilts made out of clothing, they have a charm you just can't get with new fabric. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating our craft can be achieved using fabric from almost anywhere! Happy quilting (and your quilting looks pretty good to me).

I think it looks great. You have to continue to practice. That is the key. I think you are just being too hard on yourself. It looks a little puffy (which I like) but did you use polyester batting or cotton? The cotton or 80/20 is the best for machine quilting. That might help. You should be proud of this.

i can see why dh loves it and understand from what you are
saying why you want to learn to do better.
It's a work of love to him and something you think could be
    "technically-quilting better" to you.
Enjoy your classes and hold your head up then and now.
Be proud of doing your best when that is what you knew.
I do like it a lot
