I haven't used her method for flying geese, but I'm sure if you watch her do a video you'll be able to do it.

I have done her Double Pinwheel quilt, and I loved doing it! It was easy to follow, and worked out exactly how it looked in the book.

I would do any of her patterns -- love her and her videos.

I bought the rulers from JoAnn's when I had a coupon. The instructions are inside. There are 2 sizes of the ruler.

I have tried every method and every ruler and EB's makes 4 at a time, and are accurate which is priceless. I can also tell you that Jenny Doan with Missouri Star Quilt Company also uses this method as well.

She's given tutorials on Quilt in a Day, and if you purchase her rulers for the 2 sizes, they make up very quickly and you always get great points on the geese. The tutorials are easy to follow, as well as the rulers, which make quick work of the flying geese.

Too much waste and you have to buy another ruler.
I use one large square and two small squares. I don't need a special ruler and there is no waste.

I've seen this method on Fons & Porter but they don't give sizes. Are the small squares half the size as the larger one? I don't think so because what about the seam allowances? I'd love to try this method. Maybe I'll look at the EB method you ladies gave links for but I don't want to buy new rulers just for that. I've never tried FG blocks ever.
