I love a notion or gadget. Don't have much of a stash.

Two ladies commented their dads were woodworkers. My father did woodwork and metal work or any odd job himself with a tool for every job. The Apple didn't fall far from the tree. I thought I was the only collector of quilting tools. None of my quilting friends collect, although they do have fabric stashes.
all your replies make me feel human.

I have shelves filled with notebooks labeled "Quilt Fun II" etc. Lots of stuff I'll never get to at this rate. But it is what I do. I have all of Pam Bono's books and patterns. Is there any update on stuff that was in the works when we lost her?

so far I have been able to keep things under control... but I'm sure my husband would say otherwise.... LOL

I have purchased a few fun rulers for specific block patterns and loc block rulers which were a saving grace in BH's mystery quilt but I'd love to see what DottyMo has collected.

Though I had to really cut down on my cooking hobby once I hit 200lbs. At least with sewing, you don't end up eating your leftovers.
This post just cracks me up. I can so relate. But ...DYK since I hooked up with Clean Cuisine online I have learned to cook so many delicious "good for me" foods.

....and how about pincushions ....I have a collection of those that gave been at JAF for a long time.....I don't use them, just "shelf" them. Actually had a display of them at our local library last year....they had a display case for patrons to monthly use for personal collections...it was quite a hit, I'm told.

It's really hard for me to go into a fabric store without buying something so for me I have to limit my visits to those stores or not bring any money with me and really just look. Of course that is not much fun.
