    I agree with QM - especially since the new mama has seen the pattern only. When she sees the quilted result with its special label it will only serve to emphasize how special this baby is to you.

    Here's the direct link to the quilt pattern. If there are more babies in the family, I plan to use this pattern again with appropriate other fabrics. And thanks for the advice about the label. Since this might be something the mother keeps, it should have a label with the baby's name, dob and who made is especially for him.

    Beautiful quilt! Had that problem with both granddaughters. Son & wife had name didn't want to disclose it until birth. Presented it to mom at shower. Took it back until baby was born and put name and birthdate on it!
