yes...Heather, thank you for hosting the VQW. It looks like it was very productive for many members. I did get three of my projects to where I wanted them, just didn't get a chance to FMQ my baby quilt but maybe one night this week after work. Most importantly I got the outer border on my Allietare and will look for backing fabric so I can make a date to rent a LA.

Sewbizgirl, I love your baby quilt. I have always wanted to participate in Marymahem's New Year's day mystery but somehow I miss it.
Cam's gram, your pink quilt finished beautifully. Quiltnmom...loved your colorful quilt top and look forward to seeing it finished.

Love the Allietare, jmoore! Gotta get mine finished up. I have all my yellow blocks made, just have to finish assembling the red ones and then put them all together. Such a beautiful design.

At least I've made good inroads to using up the batiks.
Exquisite colors. I love it.

Default It's Done!!!

I can't really remember when I started it last year, I think it was in April. The baby was born in July. It was supposed to be a baby quilt, but I ended up making the embroidery squares too big but did not realize it until after I put it together. I was so tempted to take it all apart and cut them down but my daughter convinced me not to because it will last longer this way. I chose the Old McDonald theme because the grandparents own a farm and thought it would be a bit of a connection. Looked all over the place to find a toy/music box that would play the song but no luck with anything in my price range. So it is now done, and it is washed and ready to be delivered tomorrow.

I was hoping to post a photo but there is something not allowing it. Oh well, at least it is finally done.
