Greetings from the "Middle of the World"

I actually know where Stillman Valley is! I had friends there and my sister-in-law lived there while I was in school in Chicago!
Telling you where I am from is rather complicated. My mother is from Kansas and my father was Ecuadorean. They met at school in Colorado, where I was born. Brought down to Ecuador as a baby, this is where I grew up. Spoke English at home, Spanish with the extended family and outside the home, and German at school. Then went to college in the U.S. - first Chicago and then California (Sacramento). Came back here to raise my children, and they are like me - what we call "half-halfies." One foot in both worlds. Which has more advantages than disadvantages. (-: I have dual citizenship, and vote in both countries. I think there are now more and more people like me... citizens of the world, wouldn't you say?
