I like to add a thin border of black also. The first time my quilting friend told me to do that I thought she was nuts. There was no black in the quilt and I thought it would stick out. It looked great.

Ditto!! I'll add another nickel because of inflation, lol!!!

Choice A will last longer into the child's life, because it is not so childish.
Choice B is more fun.

So are you going to longevity or fun??

If you have any of the other colors used in the blocks you could do a prairie point border and then the blue. I love it, colorful and I like the lay out.

I think amma's choice is my favorite idea. The good thing is none of the choices are bad. Lucky little boy. :)

Thanks again for everyone's opinions! Of course, I realized I don't have enough of the spaceships to make a border.... I think what I'm going to end up doing, is using a small inner border of some light blue (pulled from the spaceship) and then a larger outer border of choice A.
Unless someone happens to have 1.5 yards of the blue spaceship material that I could buy? Jo'Ann's is out of stock online, and none of the stores close to me have any.
Thanks again!

I like b, since so many of your fabrics already read as solids, the print in this border, gives more contrast and texture.

How about an inch border of Choice A with a wider Choice B, then maybe bind in the red.

Cheers, K
