    Hi, Sharon - My machine does have a computer, but it does not do computerized stitching like the Statler or the Intellistitch which are attachments that run the machine's stitching itself if you want it to. Longarms are wonderful in that you move the machine over the fabric instead of the fabric under the machine like on a domestic sewing machine. My machine does have a stitch regulator which makes a consistant, even stitch or you can put it on manual mode and just go at it. Anything over 18" throat length is considered a longarm. Then you have your midarms which are 17" on down. With our passion to crank out more and more tops, longarm quilting has become very popular. Many quilt professionally finishing others tops for a fee.
    If you go to any of the big shows, check out the machines. Take care. Mickey
