    definitely #1 but if it is lumpy and not squared up, it really detracts from how much i like the quilt too.

    #1.....then #2.......then #3 get the idea. When I look at a quilt, I guess color grabs me first, but then I look at all the rest.

    In my opinion, #1 is most important for gorgeousness, followed closely by overall design.

    Color is very subjective and sometimes will turn you off to a quilt simply because it is not a favorite color scheme of yours.

    For me, workmanship is of most importance...points are sharp and meet, seams join properly, everything square and that the quilt lays flat. I am a hand quilter so I also look at the stitches ...big or small...as long as they are the same.
