August 2010 Doll Quilt Swap
#321
Wow!!!! I just looked at all the quilts that I have missed .I love them all. I'm working on mine. But I'm having a hard time sitting at my sewing machine for a long time. So a lot of the sewing is done by hand.

I wanted to share the treasure I got in the mail today from my swap partner WyoMary. She must have known how much I needed to be on the wings of doves - the piecing she did is spectacular - not to mention the other little extra special goodies - a beautiful bookmark and lavender soap. Thanks for swapping with me.

I received my quilt from dorrell ann during the week.
Thank you, thank you it is a fantastic, double sided quilt.
The pin wheel seems to be never ending lots of tiny squares.
The cat resembles our cat Sgt. Mitty's whom saved from going to the pound in 1991 and he is still with us. I love the tilted square. I have been wanting to try that one.

These doll quilts are so awesome. I am afraid mine is much more beginnerish (is that a word?). I did enjoy making it though.
Mailing it off Monday.

Got my doll quilt from Mary today will post a pic later.
It's cute and my granddaughters are gonna love it.
She also sent a cute lil notepad. :)
I'm still working on hers but at least it's 3/4 done and should be in the mail by the mailing date, if not it will be soon after.

I got my darling little doll quilt from NoBetz yesterday!!! It is so pretty, a beautiful little quilt!! I don't know the name of it, but it reminds me of Card Tricks, which I've been wanting to make forever, but haven't done it yet. She also sent 2 blue fat quarters for me to enjoy and ponder as to what I will do with them!!! They are like eye candy to me, as well as the little quilt. I've asked her to post a picture of the great little quilt she sent so you can enjoy it too. Now I've really got to get busy and get hers done and sent!!
