What a great room.I am squeezed into a guest room and have 6 or 8[sometimes] folding 4ft tables in our liv.room and can barely get around it. Thank goodness we have a big den that we use all the time. Boy what I would give for a sewing room and a long arm etc. You have such a nice setup.

I have and idea,,lol,,want to trade crafts rooms i am wall to all with computer and sewing table and cutting table,pleaseeeeeeeee..lol very nice room thanks for showing it

I just bought an ironing board at a craft sale, it is attached to the top of a cabinet, but the board itself is in 3 sections and the two sides fold down when not used. Perfect for the small area I have. Prior to that we were always running into everything.

Michael, I was looking at your blog, and I was looking at your friends new machine (nice), and you mentioned you wanted a machine with a stitch cutter. Might I also suggest a bigger neck area. I just bought a new Pfaff Expressions 4.0, and it has the larger neck. I am looking forward to doing some machine quilting on it when I get my hand out of this darn cast. I had thumb joint replacement 5 weeks ago. Can't even use the new machine. Darn!!!

If you have a window, put your table so one end of it is toward the window, preferably to the needle end is toward the light. This gives you natural light. I did this and it is great. I have a light on the wall to the left of the window for night sewing. I also have an old dining room Formica table put up on bed lifters to raise it to the right height for my cutting table. When I machine quilt I take the cutting board off and take the table off the risers and it is just right to hold the weight of the quilt.

Ohh my only me at this point. I JUST got that setup, and have only finsihed 1 quilt on it....SO....so longarm services from me anytime soon! :) If I mess up one of my quilts fine....To much preassue working with someone else's quilt. :)
