Great! Hi Jennifer, will you please be my quilting mom? I've been trying to teach myself by reading on line, books, magazines, and 3 lovely ladies in my neighborhood and of course trial and error (lots of errors!) LOL I really am looking forward to having someone to pass on their knowledge and wisdom to me, but I hope you have alot of patience! I am thoroughly addicted!

I joined the Board today and what a wonderful thread to find. Roselady, it seems I just cannot hand quilt. Please be my teacher. I've read many descriptions and "how to"s of the craft but somehow when I finish nice clear line of quilting stitches on the top, it looks like crazy paving on the back! What am I doing wrong? Mama, help.

Looks like it to me.

I am willing to teach a newbie or two. I am offering to teach a single, or double Irish Chain, since I have done it several times, and am real familiar with it. I will offer to teach it any size. First two newbies who PM me are mine! I use the assembly line method of cutting and sewing, and will pass on any tricks I've learned. I need to make one anyway for my DN, who is going to make me a Great Aunt for the first time, early next year. It is real difficult to think of my little brother as Grandpa!
