Thanks Lilrain. I never thought about the extra seam allowances. It doesn't really sway me one way or the other but it definitely is something I would've over looked!

I think that I’m going to check and see how much fabric I have. If I have enough, I’m going to make a DNP pillow so that I can see what my quilt would look like if I did the DNP. I think that will help me determine which way I like it best. It’s just mind boggling to think of all the different things I could do lol. I know I shouldn’t stress about it because it’s just a quilt for my house but I want it to be awesome lol.

I like it just the way it is. Wouldn't change a thing.

I’m sure it’ll take me a while to finish this quilt because I only get to work on it for a little while at night after work. I’ll make sure I post a pic when it’s done. Thanks for all of the suggestions!

It looks great as is...do another quilt using the disappearing 9-patch later when the mood strikes!

mix them up! All colors go with everything. even green...just look at anyone's garden.
I have always heard to put a little red in your garden and a little B&W in your quilts, check out Freddy Moran's quilts. She is a professional and your quilt will fit right in.

I would leave them alone if that is what you like. I never end up where I originally intended to go. I like that freedom.

[quote=kathy]#1 RULE.... it's your quilt, you can do anything you want to it[quote]

    Could not agree more.

Now with that being said .... I really like the Nine-patch blocks, but would do a random layout of the colored squares.

I am sure with all of the great suggestion being made and a little brain break, you will come up with a wonderful top.

Thanks everyone. I believe I am going to keep it as a Nine-patch but I will mix up the colors and try some sashing. I'll post a pic when I'm done. It'll take a while lol.

You go girl!! Never go against your artistic instinct. It won't lead you wrong. too, often, anyway. LOL. That's why we have seam rippers. It's not being a quitter, it's letting the artist in you have free reign.
    Hugs and smiles!!!
