I don't wash, I have enough laundry in my life without bringing it in.

It is easier for me to work with "fresh" fabric ans like you said, it is a mess when it is washed first. I tried clipping the corners, but it just didn't work well for me.
I love the wrinkled "old" look of a new quilt!!

Thank you! I'm not the only one.

I don't prewash unless it is black or red and I am using white with it. I like the 'shrunk up" look and it also takes less starch to get it to a nice crisp feel before cutting.

I'm in your club too. I don't prewash unless it is a color that I think might bleed. I only use good quality fabric and I don't think that companies have quite the problems that they used to. Plus, I love the feel of new fabric!!

I don't wash when I buy new fabric. I do, however, wash when I buy from goodwill, thrift shops, and garage sales.

I prewash if I'm using some dark fabrics along with white. Also, I prewash fabric that I use to make quilts for my grandchildren since I read something about the chemicals in the fabric. I don't know that that is true but was afraid to risk it with the babies. Other than that, no prewashing for me.
