The increase that was supposed to happen in January did not go through. But, in January all new stamps will be "forever" stamps.

If your squishy is less than 1/4 inch thick and weighs less than 1 oz the cost is 44 cents. It is easy to stay within this if you use seran wrap and fold to the size of your envelope. After you make the block, it is difficult to get it under 1/4 inch so you have to pay 61 cents.

If you put your fabric in a baggy it is best to cut off the zipper part because that is what causes the damage when it goes through the machine. It can also make your squishy exceed the 1/4 width and therefore cost you more.

Your post office will probaly try to make it even more difficult than my explaination  There are other variables like the size of the envelope and the temperment of the clerk.

Trust me, I ship every day and the PO changes their rules daily...per item you are shipping,..what will be a FLAT one day could be a package the next....a difference between $.44 and $1.64!

Wrap your fabric in saran wrap if you want, just keep it really thin!

I didn't have any problems with the blocks going out and used 44 cents stamp. I did wrap it so it was very flat. Just on a couple I used 61 cents because they seemed heavier.

When I did Boom 2 it cost .61 to mail each, apparently mine weren't quite flat enough.

That fabric looks like fun! I hope I'm in your group - I'd love to play with it!

Post Office lady told me several days ago that the parcel rate was going up but not the letters. Cuz I was going to buy a few more forever stamps book before the price went up and she said it wasn't, just parcel.
