Bless you GrammaNan. I haven't been on the board for a couple of days and was having 'withdrawal symptoms'. I thought it was very fitting this thread was the first one I opened. The caring and blessings given out by the members of this board keep me coming back for more 'feel good'.

They passed the extention on the unemployment , can't you apply for that? Good luck and God Bless you. I'm sure the people will understand.
I live in Colorado and it is one of the states that don't qualify under the new extension. It only applies to states that have had an 8.5% unemployment rate for the last three months. Colorado has had a rate of 8%. Missed it by .5%
The extension also doesn't apply to the ones who have been out of work for 2 yrs. The ones they call the 99er's. My husband just ran out of his unemployment.

Wishing you a joyeous New Year. We go through hard times in life so we can appreciate the good times. If it never rain, would we really appreciate the beautiful suuny days? I had a bible study several years ago that taught me to focus on the things God had blessed me with rather what I did not have. Stay strong, there are brighter days after the storm.

I have been told that we are where we are at in life for a reason and it is where we are meant to be. There are lessons to learn from every situation we are in, look for the positive in what you are going through. When a door is closed, the Lord always opens a window. Prays for you and all of us who are experiencing tough situations. You will be blessed in the end. Keep the faith.
