Our driveway (about 1/8 mile) is a sheet of ice. DH walked up the drive just to have something to do. I did laundry and sewed all day yesterday. Plan to sew all day today too. And tomorrow if we still can't get out. Hardest part of my day will be deciding what to cook for dinner.

Lots of times I use fleece for the applique ... but this time I used scraps of cotton fabrics instead.

We got snow here yesterday, too, but I had to catch up on house work and laundry after spending the weekend going to some quilt shops and then admiring my new eye candy.
Looks like you was able to make good,FUN use of a snow day.

Ooh! Lovely blankets and quilt. I especially noticed the fleece blanket which appears bound. I will have to try that. I have to date just turned a narrow hem on my fleece blankets. Love the look of the binding. Did you bias cut it? Penny

I just sewed it on, folded over and stitched with a feather stitch to catch all the edges and hide the seam. I have coordinating scraps of Winnie the Pooh fabric to make appliques if I wanted. Still thinking about that.
