I agree with the others, a little more white to add contract would make it better.

Beautiful fabrics that would work better in a colourwash than a bargello. If you have too many fabrics that are close together, you get a very large area that blends, rather than ripples. This is OK if you want that effect. Colourwash quilts call for the blending, with a few 'zingers' thrown in to give it 'oomph'. whilst bargello tends to be more about the contrasts. If you are really clever, I suppose you could end up with a colourwash bargello. Putting the white in will break up the blending of the similar fabrics.

The second one has more contrast. I'd use that one. Also, I'd add 2 or 3 colors besides blue to make the quilt "pop," It should be very nice. Blue has a cool look.

I would add a dark blue and another one of very pale blue on white . Although I love all the blues they are quite similar and contrasts are what you need I feel it will make it zing .

You have a great selection of fabrics. I think you need more color, I would add some yellows. Look at other bargello quilts, they usually have more color in them. Generally not all one color family. Can't wait to see your finished quilt.

There are two many blues with the same depth of color . you need almost a blue black and a very white blue Stand back from your fabrics and squint at them to see the sameness . Your depth of color is the problem .You have not enough color groups in blue.

I think you need a white, but then also you could introduce black

Like #2. Would not any more white as you have the one all white and the 2 blue and white.

Lovely colors.

I haven't done a bargello quilt yet but from your first picture of fabric I would say you don't have enough variation in the fabric and the bargello effect won't be as noticable. I like to combination of the second lot of blues you have. Think about the contrast and good luck. I love blue quilts so look forward to seeing how it works out.
