I, too, just picked-up a new Ruby. I've had one lesson on it. I'm going to learn how to embroidery and do great things for my children and granddchildren. I know one lady who does sewing projects and then does some embroidery on the project in order to sell them. I think I'll do this too, maybe start out consigning a few articles. The links on this borad have provided me with tons of projects. Everyone on this board keeps inspiring me with encouragement and ideas. Everyday is a new day of fun to learn something new!!!

Congratulations. Vikings are great. Having a good machine makes all the difference. When I was young, my neighbor admired my sewing ability, but said she couldn't sew a straight seam. One day she used my Viking. Soon she traded her old Singer in for a new Viking and was soon turning out beautiful machine appliqued clothing for her two girls. The problem wasn't her skills, it was her tools.

That is so exciting. I have a Viking and I love it. Now I want to know how you are going to get in the tax mode when you have a new toy. Enjoy

Congratulations to both Becky and Swap!! You are going to LOVE your new Viking! I am a Viking person also......helps when you work for them for 5 years...lol...but anyways I have the SE and love it so much that I named her Ella Louise after my gram and aunt, that is how much she means to me. You will learn so much out of the free classes that come with it. And like someone else said they are always there for help, either in person or on the phone. And don't think you are bothering them, they love to help!! Have fun with it!!
