is there a teflon plate iron?
#1
I saw a iron in an advertisement some months ago that had a teflon plate -- so absolutely nothing would stick to it. It was about $125, but now I can't find the ad anywhere. Does anyone know where to buy such an iron?

I used to have a teflon plate that fits over your iron it had springs that slipped over the based and had holes in it to let the steam thru...it was great for years, not sure why I still don't have it??? :?

I saw a teflon iron that locked into a 'base' to give it stability. I can't remember the brand name, but they were selling it at Harry's Vacuum Shop in Sarnia. I know that would be a trip over the border for you; maybe you can find one in a vacuum shop locally.
PS: I was admiring your painted works on your website; they are really beautiful.

thank you all for the tips. i do have the teflon sheet but with the iron you wouldn't have to keep moving the sheet and it sounds so simple to use. also have the plate that fits over the iron but it doesn't fit over my present iron! i can call Sarnia and ask about that iron they have there. guess i will do that.
thanks again.
thanks again.

You can clean the bottom of your iron with a used dryer sheet too.
