I think he is jealous because you have something you love to do. I also think he may be depressed. Try to get him to take 2 capsules of D1000 every day and see if it improves his disposition if he is lacking the vitamin. This works for a lot of people. It worked for me too.

I am so sorry that your husband is not understanding. I have been fortunate, my husband has always been supportive. We have always shared in each others joys and excitements and have been proud of the accomplishments. I am sending you a hug and hope it gets better.

How old is your DH? My Dad (80's) complains when Mom reads, or is on the computer, or goes to her exercise class. Anything that takes her attention from him. Unless its making his dinner...

I am so sad to see that many husbands don't support their wives in their passion. My husband is very supportive of my hobbies and passions. Several years ago he made his own wall hanging for his office. He has several passions that I support. We also do things together. I hope that those other husbands will see the happiness and value that their wives quilting and sewing bring to BOTH their lives.

I'm also blessed in that my husband supports my quilting. He will go to quilt shows with me and helps me with things when I need it. He made me a design wall, large ironing board, put shelves together for me and fixes my machines when something go wrong I can't figure out.

I am sort of with Deema. My DH loves his tv during the winter. He has no idea what I spend but I guess he will when I retire in a couple of months. He does give me a "nice job" once in awhile but let anyone come in the house & say something nice he is so gushy about what a great job I do on them

My husband told me when I started quilting that I would never finish anything. After a few more comments like this, I told him " Quilting and being with my friends is cheaper than being depressed and going to a psychologist for lengthly counseling sessions and medical doctors for meds." Don't hear anything from him anymore. We need our friends and quilting to help us be productive and happy. Enjoy you quilting!!!! :)

My husband hates the time it takes away from him but you can sure bet when he meets a little one he tells them he will have is wife make them a blanket or quilt and he is so proud to give it to them . At least he likes what I make. But he also says I stay in the sewing room to much
