Log cabins are my favorite block. I love the choices on keeping the lights all the same or varying the colors. And whether a watercolor effect should be done, or just how many fabrics will be on each side. I love that it all done with strips. I love how the block can be squared up after each strip is added, if desired. I especially love the vast array of lay-out options! What's not to love??? :D

Although, I love flowers, I've never been a fan of flowery fabric but I love these cabins and you have changed my mind on the flowery fabric. It's nice to have a goto project for between things or just when you feel like doing something other than what you should be working on .

Thanks for getting back to me, I wrote the measurements down, can't wait to play! Log cabins have always been one of my favorite quilt blocks, but have yet to play with any, lol! That should change soon, thanks to looking at all your lovely blocks! I will have to look closer at them now, with the differences you have mentioned in making them, very interesting, & again, thanks for sharing!
