I am not a veteran, but my BIL girlfriend has shown interest, so I am going to teach her to quilt this year, she just got her first sewing machine this year, so I am excited to have someone close by to sew with

Well, I'm a newbie also, but I am up to helping out one another! It will be fun! I have been quilting for about 4 years, but due to time restraints, have not been able to quilt. So, I'm still a addicted newbie! The picture I chose is a quilt I am currently working on for my daughters graduation in May. It is a combination graduation quilt/memory quilt. She wants to be a writer, hence the books!

I see you are from Elkview...near Charleston? I too, am a newbie, I live in Parsons in Tucker Co. and I have been attending a local quilt camp at Camp Horseshoe.....I have learned SO MUCH! You might want to check it out. www.hi-y.org go to Heritage Arts on one of the drop down tabs. Would love to have you up in our neck of the woods.

I need a mommy. All I have done is applique SW baby quilts. The only quilting was stitch in the ditch. I can miter my bindings but this is about it. My stash is full of southwester/western fabrics with blenders. I also have some great SW bakits. I want to do more than baby quilts and wallhangings. Have bought lots of patterns but haven't gotten up the nerve to start much. Need a mommy bad.

Hi! I am looking to be adopted. I am a new-bey and I would like all the help I can get. I have a lot of ideas, but putting them all together I am not sure about.

Thanks

somebody can adopt me. i'm trying to figure out a good way to enlarge quilts and the resultant fabric requirements. Most quilt patterns seem to be for either lap quilts or full/twin. I don't care about the size of the block itself, that I can deal with. what gets me is how to figure out yardage for a king size from a lap quilt size.- when they tell you to buy 1/2 yard of blue 1 yard of red, 2 yards of assorted yellows, etc. Please don't tell me to get out graph paper.

I'm not sure how this works but I can sure use adbvice now and then. I usually learn by my mistakes but that gets old, it would be nice to know what i'm doing beforehand. So I'm up for adoption.
