Jtapp I got my shelves from Ikea. I have doors to put on them too. I just havent' gotten that far. The shelves are filled with fabric waiting to be put on the boards. Rivka your shelves look great too. I didn't realize I had so much fabric with it being all over the place.

WOW ladies you all have a nice looking sewing room. Many thanks to Alaskasunshine for sharing such a wonderful tutorial. Now all I need is a room to put the shelves and start organizing. Guess if my dh get sick of seeing totes in the hallway (remodeling br) he will do the same for me. I'll just convince him that I am saving money, cause I can see what I have now!! No duplicates LOL Thank you all for the lovely pic. and most of all thank you ALASKASUNSHINE

Lindsey, I got my shelves from IKEA, too! Are yours Billy bookcases? I was going to put doors on mine, but my longarm is right in front of the bookcases, and there wouldn't be a lot of space to open the doors. I'm probably going to just make some sort of hanging drapes for the front of my bookcases...

Yes Rivka i got mine at ikea too. they are indeed the billy bookcases and they were still on sale. I would have gotten four of them but the wall i have them on won't fit four. the ceiling slopes down on one side and my computer is on the other side. Just waiting for Fed Ex today. keeping my fingers crossed. Dh said he would cut them when he gets home.

MY boards came today I am so excited. Its going to be a messy weekend and I know what I am doing. I just took the dog for a walk and the truck passed me. I knew he was going to have left them. When i got home i couldn't find them. I had to go out and look for them. He took them by the back door. well they are here anyway. Pictures to come soon.
