OMGoodness, we all need to be SUPER careful and watch our fingers and toes(I hear about people cutting without shoes on and dropping their cutter)*SHIVER*

Hope you heal quickly and can get back to doing what you love.

So sorry--I recently purchased a cutter that automatically closes. I love it.

Seven Stitches in the same finger. We were laughing so much in the ER that the Dr. said four but my primary Dr. took out seven.
The ER guys couldn't figure out what a rotary cutter was.

Hope you feel better.

Yikes! I am sorry that happened to you. I have snipped my finger with my applique scissors and know how bad that hurt. Hope you heal soon.

OHHHHH! I feel for you! Last week (i was in a hurry) my fabric jammed in the plate. I was trying to get it out. I still had my foot on the feed. Yep, sewed my finger! Hit the edge of my nail on the side, all the way thru and stuck! I had to hand turn the machine to get the needle to come out. Then had to cut the thread. Hollered for hubby several! times. Told him that when I took the pressure off of my finger to pull the thread out. I really SEWED my finger.

Something I have found that I think makes it safer to work with the rotary cutter especially with younger teens is the safety bar that is suppose to go in the bathroom to help get in and out of the tub or shower. it attaches to the ruler and keeps your hands away from the cutter plus you can hold it more securely in place.
