No, I wish people would stop doing it while driving though, would be less accidents due to people not paying attention to the road/vehicle in front of them.

I don't text and it drives my sister nuts, but I tell her that I have to hear her voice & know she's okay (she's 18 years younger than I am & our parents died while she was young, so I sorta raised her). I have my three children and then she's like my oldest child (her children call me the grandma/aunt). They're all grown up now, but no one sends me a text--they have to call!

I never have, and wouldn't know how if I wanted to.

I just started texting. I do it mostly with my son, daughter, and granddaughters. I have to use capital letters when needed and completely spelled out words, rather than abbreviations though.

Nope don't have a need to. If I need to talk to someone I'll call.

My phone is so basic that I assume I can text with it but not sure. No internet, no camera...it's a phone. You should hear the conversation when I tell this to my 6th graders!!!!!

I did finally have to get "with it" when dd moved to an area where we coulnd't always get a signal strong enough to talk on the cell phone-but we could text. My boss will text me with questions and I usually just call her back and tell her I can talk much faster than I can text. I find that I am hitting the send button before I really mean to and that is annoying.

I resisted for a long time, but finally my daughter forced me to start texting. Now I find that it is the quickest and easiest way to reach both of my kids and the people that I work with... especially for a quick question to people at work... avoids wasting time talking on the phone, too. I'm not a big fan of phone calls, so I found that texting really is great after all!

Yes - but it'll only work if you have others you can text to.
