Besides the obvious I mean. Dont you sew in there? Dont you walk in there everyday and quilt? I do not have OCD by no mean and I have alot in my room and, and, and I seriously hate cleaning it too-yuck0- but wheres the workspace? Can you work in there like that or do you stay out of it cause its so disorganized?? I get so mad if there's 'stuff' on my work area and have to move it out of the way so I can quilt. May not be put away in its right spot but it can't be right ON my workspace or near my sewing machines, floor works good so it ends up there until it finds its put away spot.. I was just wondering after seeing all these posts of rooms in chaos..

If you send some fabric to me Just think the less cleaning you have to do.

Cant wait to see the after pictures.. YOU GO GIRL!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Seriously, it wasn't like this until DH started to reorganize. Then he started piling things to move them out of his way. I had to have new shelves because I had begun stacking my projects and fabrics.

I also had to move my queen size hand quilting frame out of the sewing room and into the living room. When that was moved, we took everything off the shelves to expand the shelving area. What you can't see is the fabric already on boards ready to go back on the shelves.

DH is hanging pegboard now to hang my rulers. It is not as bad as it looks, a lot of those piles are fabric on top of rolling drawers. They will slide under my new 4 foot long table that holds my new Accuquilt Go!

I have a whole dresser he's moved in one corner with drawers and glass shelves. That will hold my FQ's and bobbins, etc.

So, I DO have a plan of action! Time for me to WORK!

Oh my, yours is still neater than mine. LOL. SO glad you joined me on the clean it up campaign. But why didn't you post it in Main so Everyone can see it. Just saying. ROFL My dh is scared to go in there. When it started going into the hall way and the second room, he started shaking his head but he knows better than to say anything....I would buy more. When I come home from garage saling and such, I won't unload the car until he goes to bed. I can't pass up a good deal.

you can do it! If you take it in tiny increments of time, it'll get done in no time!

I feel your pain. I started organizing my sewing room after Christmas its still a work in progress. My hubby bought me two cabinets to help for Christmas. Start with one area and then on to the next is my only advice. I gave away a few things and donated some fabric to Project Linus. I realized I have way to many projects to finish in this lifetime so its time to start using what I have first. Good Luck.

I think your room looks like it won't be so bad to organize. The basic stuff is done like having your fabric on the little bolts, etc. Looking forward to the after pictures!!!!

Oh MJ....looks like FUN to me! You'll enjoy the process and I know you'll love it when you are done! Just take baby bites out of the project...put up a little at a time. She shelving is a great start. I've tried and tried to figure out how to do my teeny room better...but I'm coming up empty of ideas. You have a great space to work with..and that great window for light....big sigh....
