I used to belong to the guild but then I found the QB. This year, I thought I'd rejoin (and I may yet) but the meeting was last Tuesday and my goodness, it was raining cats and dogs. So I went home instead and got online here. See, here, I have guild meetings every day.

Finish your obligations and then done with going. Life is too short.

I belong to several, but most of them are out of town. Even out of state...
The one here in town I just dread going to...tonight is guild night and I just do not feel like going...though I do have obligations to being there!
How sad is that?

Boy! I joined and got very involved. After about 3 years I decided it wasn't how I wanted to spend my time. Too much time was spent trying to make everybody happy, and you know how it goes. You can make some of the people happy some of the time, and not all of the people all of the time. Not for me!

Shame on them, especially if you are making quilts for Charity. Our church lets us use if for nothing. We usually meet from 9 am till 3 and we order lunch in. We have a blast.

Could be why it has gone from 150 members to 35 in less than 5 years!
