Well, I had a ghost in my machine -- with no canine assistance! My Janome would just start up on its own when my back was turned. Had to buy a new foot control for $90 for a machine that was just a couple of months out of warranty. Grrrrr!!

I've read that Janomes have that problem -- looks like it could be fixed. Maybe like a Toyota recall?
