with the cost of veggies lately I am thinking of putting in some cucumbers and tomatoes this year. I took out a pond and think since its already a mess there thats where i am going to put my plants. It needs a fence for sure to keep the critters out. I have had lots of problems growing things due to them eating more of the plants then the plants get to produce.

I have had a garden all my life.Over the yrs my neighbors raised grass now they to have veg. gardens. Every yr I buy good bugs so my garden and the neighbors are all organic. My mailman gets a charge out of me when I release the ladybugs.The first thing they do is drink water then have sex then eat. My husband is into lettuce.He begins planting it in march as soon as the snow begins to melt. He has purchase every lettuce seed out there. I can remember one yr we had lettuce thru thanksgiving in Wi. :thumbup:

We have a garden and feed the family with the stuff from it. I just made a pot of veggie soup this week and emptied 8 jars of veggies and sausage into it. That is a great feeling for me!

I don't have a garden, but wish I did have some room to plant some veges. It would sure help on the grocery bill. My best friend's ex-husband and son own a wholesale produce business and she and I are organizing a Produce Co-op at our church to help those interested to save some money. We will be able to get the produce at the same price that produce stands get it.

I had one when my children were small, I like playing in the dirt and planting flowers..If we stay put in one place long enough I may be able to plant a small one.

I have to garden: it's in my genes. My potatoes, lettuce, carrots and little onions are up. The tomato seedlings just went in the ground. Squash and okra next...

We have a vegetable garden and have already set out cabbage and onions. I have a greenhouse and have planted my tomato seeds already, am ready to plant bell pepper,summer squash, jalepeno peppers. You name it, we try it! I freeze and can everything we can. I get a kick out of preparing a meal that we have grown and putting those empty jars away for next year.

Yep, we have gardens. We have a flower garden and a vegetable garden. I love fresh veggies. I remember helping my grandfather pick fresh greenbeans from the garden. Everytime I pick greenbeans, I always think about him. Always brings good memories when working in my garden.

Lots of flowers, mostly perennials, herbs, asparagus, raspberries, grapes, peppers, squash, tomatoes and who ever has managed to get their seeds in the raised bed from the birds or the kitchen scraps in the compost. Last year we had "bonus" spaghetti squash!

Oh, I have a garden, three of them....one for food, two for flowers. BIG flower gardens, 7'x100' long in the back, all the way around my porch in the front. The work is wonderful and it is the only time I cut down on my quilting.
