Yes, European countries have always paid much higher gas prices than us.

Every year gas companies raise prices in summer for vacation travel. Last July in Omaha area it was $4.47!

Time to quit of making people so rich with foreign oil and use solar, biofuels, electricity etc. We have had the technology for over 40 years but when their big money is at stake few politicians want to change.

Sorry you are all hurting from the gas prices. Just be glad you are not in the UK. We have to buy in litres. Doing a complex calculation it means that a gallon costs us £6.05 or $9.85! It is really hurting.

As a consequence our food prices are shooting up daily.

Just a thought as our gas here is 3.69 today, but for the thought let's start using our own gas, at least, we will know where it is coming from.

It is ugly all over the world as far as I can tell. It is only cheap in countries where gas is subsidized by their government, like Iran. They pay about 25 cents a gallon there and if I recall they can not produce gas or something like that.

They say it is high now due to unrest in the Middle East. It has been in a state of unrest for 1000 of years, go figure.

    Blessings to all...
