I have a Baby Lock Quilter's Choice that I just love and it was only $1200.

I was told by a local Bernina dealer that Sears Kenmores are made by Janome. You can get more machine for less money by going that route. Just doesn't have the fancy name and all the fancy extras like certain colors but does have the quality and all the important extras.

Does anyone know if you buy a Kenmore made by Janome if Janome dealers support it, or do you take it to Sears with any issues?

Guess I'll never have to worry about where to spend $2000. I start to save and boom!! Someone in the family has a need (not that they would ask me for money, but how could I in good conscience let them down when they have a legitimate need?) I have a cheaper Janome and of course my vintage machines so I don't need any other machine but someday would love to have an embroidery machine. Probably won't happen and I'll live with that.

I have the Janome 9500 and the Janome 300E so I am good to go!
    Love them both.

Does anyone know anything about a HQ Sweet Sixteen Sewing/quilting machine? Just saw it at a quilting store.

I agree. I would buy a Bernina. Not sure which model, but would definitely want a BSR.

I would go with either a Pfaff 4.0 Quilt Expression or a Viking. They both have large throat areas.
